Hmmmm.......   paint the front half.    That just may work

And then I could impress people when I arrive.  I don't care what they think when I'm leaving.

I'm like Hmel'74. I have to wash mine every time it rains. It's under a carport off the garage so every time it rains, it blow in on it. The garage is so full of , I can't get the Vette in. My wife says, "throw all that junk away". Throw it away! It took me 20 years to collect all that!

Dwain, if you got a garage you gotta get enough room to get that Vette in there.  When I finally got my Vette in the garage it was like a national project clearing enough room.  When my son came down from college and saw my Vette in the garage he almost fainted, he still can't believe we ever fit a car in there

When I first got mine, I wouldn't drive her if it looked like rain. Then I got caught on my way home one night and got her wet.
Guess what? She cleaned right up!
I keep her covered in my garage, but I have washed and waxed the Corvette more times in the last two summers than I have washed my Honda in the last 13 years.
And yeah, when we had the full-size Chevy van, I needed a ladder and a brush on a pole to wash the roof.
I love washing and waxing the Vette.
But I love driving her more.

Unfortuately, my garage is only big enough for one vehicle..period. Everthing else would have to go. Probably wouldn't miss most of it anyway.

I'm being serious here...  BUT I truely do not remember the last time I washed any of my Corvettes... Honest..!   My guess would be at least
5 or so years ago...and it was probably my 95 (the Black one) and I think I was traveling and ran thru a rain storm...

Now I keep a California Duster, and a bottle of Detailer and a Micro fiber
rag in the front of each of the Bays in my garages...  Just normal  procedure to wipe the cars down BEFORE and AFTER each use...

Even IF I get caught in the rain I still do not wash them...I follow the
above procedure BUT follow that with putting the car up on the lift ASAP
and spraying WD40 under the car and wiping everything down with
OLD Rags...

Buy Detailer by the gallon, Buy WD 40 by the gallon...STEAL all the rags I can find around the house...

MY 05, 3500 RAM WITH 35" TIRES GETS 19 MPG. 11 MPG PULLING MY BOAT. ( 11,000 LBS) sh*t CAN THE GAS AND GET A DIESEL.  AS FOR WASHING MY VETT. I'VE NEVER WASHED IT. DOESN'T EVEN COME OUT UNLESS IT'S BEEN DRY FOR A WEEK AND THERE'S NO RAIN COMING FOR ANOTHER WEEK. KEEP THE SHINE ON IT REAL REGULAR THOUGH.

Hi Adams' Wait, do people really NOT wash their Vettes? I washed mine then dried immediately then waxed. If they're not washing before applying any sort of pressure (dusting included) isn't that like rubbing sand into the paint? It seems like without washing off all the dust first, you would scratch he paint all up. Your thoughts? Jason
