Im curious has anyone ever tried this and what were the results???
Thinking of trying it to remove 31 years of wear on the glass....SPONSOR AD:: (Our Sponsors help support C3VR)
I was going to do it to my 1976 windshield , I called a glass company first to see the needed tools and compounds to use for the best application. The glass man said that it would not come out clear, because you can not polish it evenly and you would notice it from the inside out. It made sense, so mine is original until I replace it..My 2cents..Terry

To polish a windshield yourself is very difficult..the hardest thing is getting it even..just a little difference can be seen when the sun hits it..not fun..I use a new razor blade with some windex and scrape off all the grime and bug goo off..spray on some rain x on there and it shines up as good as it will get..

You can't polish out all the tiny chips and cracks, it's glass and you aren't going to remove any material to get it clear. Best thing is to replace it. I replaced mine, man what a difference!
