Hey everyone,
I was just surfing the web looking for info on Zaino, and came across this realllly nice webpage.
http://pages.sbcglobal.net/gheumann/zaino_test/
Now all of you Zaino lovers calm down! The test this guy ran was very well done IMHO, and I think for his car, it probably makes sense. I wish he had a little worse paintjob to start with. Anyway, take a look at the website and lemme know what you think
I also found this page which is on the same topic...

Saw both of those sites before and I'm sticking to my Zaino. The only problem with those pages is that you are looking at pics over your computer. How are you to tell what it REALLY looks like, except for seeing it in person. I used Meguiers, something in a red bottle, and then Zaino. For my money nothing shined and was as easy to use as the Zaino. Sorry but I believe in Zaino, and if you ever saw a black or red vette done properly with it, you would be sold too. Just my opinion.

What about a white vette? will it even help all that much? in terms of protection of course it will, but what about looks?

I have to agree with 82dukman. Zaino is absolutely stunning on a black vette...Hubby used Meguiers for years and years and years....he switch to Zaino ..WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!
Bit if a PITA in the beginning ...going thru the steps...but once it is on....WOW!!!!!!!
Will dig up a pics of the C4 when I get home from work....so you can see just how DEEP the shine is. and the C4 has the original paint!!!!!!!

I'm sold on Zaino thanks to you guys. On our vettes, how long does it take to do the prelim. stages? What about subsequent applications and how often does everyone do them?

The first part takes about a day to do it right. You want to wash the car WELL with lots of Dawn bubbles. Just keep the stuff on her and keep rubbing it around! Make sure you get all nooks and crannies of the body clean. Then you start. After you get the first coat of everything on, Z2 or Z5 or both, then the maintenance part is easy. I usually use the gloss enhancer after I take her cover off. Sometimes the cover will leave a haze. Just a bit goes a long ways. Before shows, I like to do one coat of Z2. Then I go over her with gloss enhancer at the show. EASY! And two really good things....no white stuff left behind and it smells great!
If you guys could see the difference of two new C5's in Torch parked next to each other, one with Zaino and one without, you'd be sold too!
My good friend Ira, Mr. Mod Man, gave me the new ZX stuff....I didn't get a chance to try it yet though....Destiny got put into the hospital before I got the chance. With this stuff added to the Z2, you can do like 3 coats in one day! It speeds up the drying time.

Scot try it you won't be dissapointed. My car is silver/beige like Darla's and it actually makes the car look wet. I was skeptical like you and decided to try it. I will never go to anything else. Matter of fact, the wife wants me to do our Navy minivan with it. If you buy it and don't like it, I'll even buy the remainder from you.

Chris is right. After Zaino, she does look like she's wet. But the best part that I like about it is that it doesn't leave any of that white powder behind. When I first got her, I had to go over the whole body with a brush and toothpick to get it all out even with washing her with Dawn before. lol

I'll give it a whirl, the goon at the tire place sprayed some degreaser on the paint which turned it yellow until he really washed it off with water, so I was pretty pissed, but i have in writing that he'll pay for a re-paint if it needs it, but he's just a kid, and the spot is gone now, so hopefully it will polish up nicely. Will Zaino help if the paint is a bit bubbly in some sports(hood by the winshield)
