Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
First where are you going to get it?
But if you have it, which I do because I purchase a case of small cans the week before you could no longer purchase it.
Anyway my system is completely without Freon and my air conditioner guy told me it would take two of my cans to charge it up completely. If this does not help someone with the actual capacities will most likely give you an exact answer when they start checking in after the 3 day weekend.
I'm only around because I live in San Diego and there is no better place to go than stay home on a 3 day weekend because 1/4 of the people in Southern California get on the road and the traffic is ugly.

Sorry...it just slipped out....
If you still have the foil decal on the compressor, or the one on the A/C housing itself, it will tell you how much the system requires. If not, then the specs are for 3lb 4oz of R12. Using R134 will require less.
