i was doing some spirited driving on the interstate and noticed the coolant temp creeping over the 200 mark , as well as oil temp. is this normal range for 85-95 mph running?

195-220 is pretty normal.  What is it normally reading when you're just going around town? I can't imagine it being much less.

Sounds pretty normal to me.  Does it have a 195* thermostat?

My 82 runs about 200 to 220 in Texas summer and that's after I installed the new DeWitt radiator.  So I think your good.
