I have a 71 Vette that I have replaced the harnesses for the engine, forward lamps, and A/C harnesses. (not the dash main harness) I am trying to wrap it up but have run into a problem. After the A/C harness goes into the firewall, it "splits". One section with 4 plugs goes to the heater /ac control in the console. The other part has two 3 terminal "plugs" and a black wire (looks like a ground connector on it). These two plugs are connected with some common wires. Wires are PINK, ORANGE, TAN, and LIGHT BLUE. I spoke to Lectric Limited and the tech said these were to connect to some relays under the dash. They said they are only used on 71's and they did not know or show what the relays are but they were needed. I cannot locate them, my old harness did not have this section on it - we determined that someone had previously used a 70 harness in the car. (# on fuse block ws for a 70 Vette)
My question is - does anyone know where these relays mount AND where I can buy them ? Pics would be fantastic.

The harness having a '70 part number wouldn't necessarily mean it had been changed. The '70 model year had a short production run, due to the strike in '69, and the '69 production year extension. Not saying that it hasn't been changed, but that just having a part # for a '70 wouldn't be a tell-tale.
I can look at the diagram real quick and see what it may show. I'll e-mail ya the diagram tomorrow, tho.
I don't see any three terminal connectors on either the '70 OR the '71 diagrams with those wire colors...I'll keep looking, tho...

Thank you !
I think one of the reasons Lectric was sure it was a 70 is that on another part of the a/c harness, there is a two terminal plug that attaches to the heat / ac control area that has a brown (tan) wire. On the 70, this wire leaves the console and goes directly into the main dash harness where a 71 has another plug about 2" from where it connects to the heater / ac cluster.
Please let me know what you find out.
Thanks
