I need some help. This car did not have a water pump pulley when I got it. I found one for a 66-70 BB #3889372. The one for a 71-74 BB is #3992071. I have installed a high flow water pump and it has a big shaft. My problem is if I take this to the machine shop and make the hole fit the shaft will it work on my 72. I don't know the differance in two.

Will the belts line up, is the question!
You can have the center hole opened up, as long as the grooves on the pulley are where you need them, and the fan bolt holes are correct.
I'd make sure the machine shop knew what they were doing, and get the hole exactly centered...

Thanks Joel, we have a few good hot rod machine shops here in Oklahoma City, I should be all right on that part. It looks like the belts line up but I'll have it drilled out and see. Its hard to tell without it going over the shaft.
Thanks a lot
