Glen and Dwain, here's a pic of the IDLE STOP SOLENOID that you "should" have to keep the rpms up on your cars. It is directly behind(to the rear) the upper radiator hose, bolted to the carbatater. This may be what you need to solve the idle probs.Adams' Apple 38835.8112847222

Thanks Joel for the pic. I only loose about 60 rpm so mine is fine for now. But it sounds like Dwain will probably need one.

No doubt I need one now. Still, it seems like I'm just treating a symptom and not solving the problem. It just shouldn't pull the engine down that much. Maybe it is overcharged and I need more amps in my alternator. I'll just have to have it checked out. Thanks guys.......

Go to Autozone or similar place. Have them connect teh charging system tester. Be sure to put the test amp clamp around the alternator connector, not the battery cable, and check for peak alt output. Then shut off the engine, and turn the key back on, and turn on everything in the car. Everything. Connect the amp clamp to the battery cable and see how much the car is using, Shut off the A/C and test again. The difference of the last two will tell you how much amps the A/C is pulling. You also see the total demand of the car, and compare that to the alt output. This shoukd give you a very good idea of what is going on, and what amperage you need. Alsio load check the battery as see that its okay as well.
