My 69 corvette is missing the expansion valve and poa valve. I am currently replacing these parts with new 134r parts. I need some help installing the new parts.
There are two copper tubes that come off the expansion valve. I think one goes to the new poa valve upgrade kit and the other goes inside the evaporator core housing. Does the one that goes inside the evaporator core housing enter in the top or the bottom? Where inside the evaporator core housing should this copper tubing be routed?
When I install these new parts should I use any thread sealer or teflon tape??

Don't use any type of sealant on the threads of any A/C connections...it can get into the system and cause all sorts of problems. Just use new o-rings on any fittings you disconnect.
The "capillary tube/bulb" for the evaporator should fit snuggly against the evap core. Some systems have the bulb just attached to the outlet tube of the core with a hose clamp. The other tube should be open, and thread onto the POA valve "eliminator" tube. (The capillary tube is closed, with a "bulb" on the end of it.)
The cap. tube should go in whatever end is "out"(suction side) on your evap. core...normally the top.

Thanks! I thought the capillary tube entered in the top, but wasn't sure. There is just a lot of tubing, so I didn't know if the capillary tube/bulb needed to go further inside. I'll clamp it to the upper tube and coil up the additional tubing on the outside.
