Well here is another question for you all.
My Air Conditioner is blowing cold air but doesn't
blow very hard at all. When it is on the high
position the fan has a rattle in it. Sounds like
it is comming from beneath the dash on the
passenger side. Any suggestions on how to
make the fan blow harder?

I do remember seeing somewhere that you can replace a C3 blower motor with one from a C4. If I can find it, or remember where I saw it., I'll let you know.
Also, I heard that if you put a new one in from Delco, they blow a lot better than the existing ones. Might want to check your "box" because there might be a lot of dirt, leaves etc in there which will hamper the performance.

That article was in either Vette, Corvette Fever or Car and Parts Corvette sometime last year. I also read it and it had a lot of good info in it. I will look for it over thenext day or two.
I have a copy of AC Strategies for the 63-82 Corvette. It states you can use 84 or latter, blower/fan assembly. The big differance is in the squirrel cage fan design. The newer ones have more blades at a different angle. The catch is they are also deeper. To use one of these you have to make a spacer to fit between the housing and the fan motor. One other thing noted is the duct work in the pre-84 Vettes tend to have gaps at joints. They recommend using foam tape at all joints (lots of luck trying to get to them to tape the joints). One other item to watch is that not all fans & fan blades turn in the same direction so make sure if you switch you get one that turns in the same direction as yours does now.
Hope this helps

Seems like both Glenns are on the same track
I now wonder if the book Glenn mentions is where I got my info from and not a magazine article. That AC Stratagies is a great book, if they would only supply a guy to do the work while you read the description.....
