i purchased a 72 conv with air and the orgional air compressor is frozen. are these a matching number item??? does anyone know some who can rebuold these? or should i just replace it and save the core?

Garry, you could take it to an air conditioning shop and have them check it out. It just might be the "clutch" inside of it. For another car I had, this was done and only cost me $100. Just a piece of info.

Did you make sure that it is getting power? I had a problem with mine but it turned only to be relay.
