Anyone have info on whose fans to use, where to get best prices or any other info that might be helpful?

Hi Dave,

I have a Dewitts radiator and I never have a problem with heat. I was in the July 4th parade the last 2 years, basically at idle for 90 minutes. Here's the web site. http://www.dewitts.com/  They have fans for sale as well. Also make sure you have all the chassis spoilers, fan shrouds and foam sealers between the hood and the radiator that you are suppose to have. I was initially missing the 1 inch spoiler below the radiator and I couldn’t believe the difference it made with it on. I run 50/50 anti freeze and water and I change it every 2 years. I also use wetter water or water wetter (I always mess the name up). Be careful what you buy those additives are not all created equal. Some can't be mixed with anti freeze. The last thing I did was buy a new thermostat that will only fail in the open position. I forget what it's called but you can get it at AutoZone.

I just looked out the window. Streets are dry and the sun is out, I'm going for a ride. Have a safe and happy new year.

Dave,

Flex-A-Lite makes a nice dual fan set up. I installed it in 2 cars alreay and will be changing mine out to that model in the spring after the motor goes in. I can send you the part number if you're interested.

Happy New Year,

Paul

I got my dual fans from Paragon Reproductions, (they sell Dewitt), and I couldn't be happier! Easy install, and they bolt right up. If you have A/C be sure to get the extra relay.

I bought mine directly from Dewitt's and saved money at the time.  Water wetter is a great additive as riddj mentioned and the thermostat he is referring to is a fail safe thermostat.

I have had great luck with my set up!

Good luck!

Another DeWitts user here.  I purchased an aluminum radiator with the dual electric Spal fans already attached.... its a great setup.
