I removed my old radiator from the 72 today. Put the new aluminum one in place just to see how things would line up and it fits perfect. Now thinking about how to mount the dual flex a lite fan unit. Was wondering if anyone has some good advice on how to mount it and once mounted how much room do you have between the upper control arm bushing area. Looks as tho it will be extremely tight in that area. Maybe I should stick with the factory shroud and skip the electric fan unit. Also can you service the fans once they are on if one would go bad without having to tear everything out. Trying to do this only one time! Thanks for any help you can pass this way.

Rod, I have the dual flex-a-lite fans and had no clearance problems. I was able to use their mounting brackets and line them up with the factory shroud locations.

Paul, thanks for the information. I thought you had the dual fan setup. Do you have any pics of the mounting. It looks like the front side of the upper A-Arm will be right against the fan assembly. My fan was given to me by my dad and I dont have any hardware to mount it with. Do you take the temp reading to turn on and off from the block or the radiator. Where did you purchase it? Thanks again,
Rodney

Rod, took the temp off the intake by the thermostat. Bought it from Summit.
Having a problem with pics. Will post some shortly...

Paul, Have you had any luck with pics yet? I plan on pulling the A-arms off this week then hopefully reassemble this weekend if parts come or early next week.
Thanks,
Rodney

Hey Rod,
sorry about the delay. I had one of my daughters in the hospital for a couple of days, then the 4th rolled around which is a HUGE holiday at my place. 60 people at my house for a BBQ.
I'll try to snap some pics tonight.
