I bumped up to a 95 AMP alt. Also ran an 8 Ga wire from that battery leg off the alternator to a junction box with the hot battery cable to handle the extra amperage that was cooking the factory alt wiring. The flexolite fans pull considerably low amperage compared to some of the other manufacturers. I think this is the unit I installed:

So you must have got the 400-420 puller type. Were you able to keep your factory shroud. Or did you just take it all off and mount it to the radiator. Any special brackets or did it have a correct fit.

Factory Shroud removed and mounted to the radiator - actually has a soft seal that works nicely. Comes with adjustable brackets for the top and they lined up with the factory shroud mounts. On the bottom I used the pull through the rad zip tie mounts with the discs and bushings... Very sturdy...
