as posted the other day my 75 is up and running again. went out today to check coolant levels and for any leaks. topped the radiator up and then checked to make sure fans turned on. grounded the sensor and they started right up.

now came the moment i have been waiting for--- started the car and let her run. should have been playing the jaws theme in backround as this shark sounded great. then at 195 degrees they attacked and the fans were attacking the hot air. then it was all over as it cooled down the fans went back to lurking in the darkness.

they work like a charm and is worth the investment.

I have an aluminum radiator and dual spals in the Vette and the 69 Camaro.  I do not have a cooling problem in either car.  We drove the Vette on Sunday.  It was 102 degrees outside, top down and A/C running and it never got over 205.  I used a sensor that turns them on at 200 and off at 190.  I highly recommend using all of the proper seals around the radiator and in the nose of the car.  Those seals were designed to force the air through the radiator since the slanted mounting of the radiator is not condusive to straight through air flow.  Make sure you have the lower air dam made for car too.  It was designed to direct the air flow into the nose.  I only rant on this because a friend blew the head gaskets and probably warped the heads on his blown big block 72 coupe on Saturday when he was coming back from a car show.  He has an aluminum radiator and electric fans too but not the seals I told him to install.  It was running at 250 and being stuborn as he is, he kept driving it instead of stopping to let it cool.  Expensive lesson!
