The screens will flex while you're driving, believe it or not! So, you could get something up in the wiper tray while sitting still, and it could wind up at the bottom of the vent area, and into the blower fan eventually. The screens just don't fit the area very well, and aren't really secured to the fender part anyway, so they just kinda flop around in there...
Another way stuff can get up in there is from the inside of the car. With the A/C on "Max", it closes the vent door(in the kick panel) on the pass. side, but....in any other position, that door is open. Soooo...a piece of paper could get sucked up in there if it got close enough to the vent...

Thanks again Joel. I suspect your latter explanation is the point of origin. All is working well now. I truly appreciate all that you do for us and this site.

Glad ya got-er-fixed Scott. All I want to know is, how old is the gas reciept, and what was the price per gallon? LOL

Terry, it was not that old...2005. I looked at the date but did not look at the cost. It was from a station upstate and the date corresponded with the Darlington Nascar race. I always drive the Vette to Darlington.
