It's one HOT car!!!
Dont know why the heat doesn't blow out through the vents. I can get some heat from vent on dashboard. But the switch to turn heat on (0-1-2-3-)doesn't work. Any suggestions???? Does this car have a heater blower?

Hi vettemom81!
The 0-1-2-3 switch would be your fan speed control switch. The are a couple possible things wrong.
1. Your fan/blower motor may have gone bad.
2. Your fan speed switch (0-1-2-3) may be bad.
3. This is the most common thing...your resistor for fan speed may have gone bad.
This is located at the passenger side firewall, on top of the heater core case. It has some wires plugged into it and has 2 tiny screws holding it on. Remove this and look for burnt wires and check the little coils (they look like little springs)to see if they are broke or burnt. Good luck!

Can you hear the fan come on at all. You should be able to hear the blower when you turn on the switch. If the blower isn't working, then it could be anything from a fuse, defective switch, broken wire, or even a bad fan, among other things. You can check the wiring by using a multimeter and check the voltage at the blower.

if you've never had heat or A/C work, you might want to check and see if the ducting is there. Mine isn't and its availability is part of why I've never considered fixing heat or A/C.

This happened to me two times. Both times it was a blown fuse.
