Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
I am familiar with your dilema. My passenger was the wife, and she did not like the HOT WATER. The core has been replaced, not to bad. BUT I am still trying to get the anti-freeze out of the carpet. That stuff NEVER dries. Idid the vise grip fix till the core came out.

Just a side note to this heater core thread, when I read that the former owner was concerned to the present owner and offered help in that department about the heater core I thought "Yes" this really is a good group to belong to.....I also belong to a Hotrod group that started in BC called the FlatBlackboard forum (mainly rat rodders ) and this happens all the time were some one needs a part and someone 250 miles away has it and then some one speaks up and is passing through that town picks it up for the other person and drops it off....with no money involved! This Saturday I have to go
250 miles away to a race club meeting in Vernon BC(stock car racing) and I am taking up a 27T rad and shell to a fellow in Enderby BC about 20 miles north of the town I'm going to.I am also picking up two free 70 Chevy 1/2T grills for my stock car for free from this same small town and on my way back I pick up a 77 Chevy Van grill and front bumper from Kamloops BC for 2 different guys down here on the coast...All this stuff is done through this group for nothing but conversation on ones passion "there auto toy"Just thought I would bring this up here since I noticed it from these 2 Washington states guys to my south....is it just a west coast thing???streetstock72 2009-03-19 15:05:04

I never use the heat anyway.. I know theres a right way and a wrong way to jump it. I got the directions off of here actually.

Paul, I would like to think its not just a Northwest or even a west coast deal.
I'd like to think thats just how friends work with friends who have a common interest.
Now for "The rest of the story".
I never took Larry up on his offer as I bought a used car and thats the way it goes. I know he had no idea that it was about to go.
I still havent got the car back but should have that bad boy back in my hands within the week.
I can see it now, 2nd gear, 5000rpm, 60mph, slam it into 3rd and NO ANTIFREEZE!
How cool will that be?
