Hey guys, I have a question about something that I have no idea what the hell it is. It is the box in the engay bay that covers up the AC motor, and the heater core? What is that unit called? mine says remanufactured for General Motors 1977.

Heater box, or plenum, is what I think you are refering to. |headscratch| |headscratch| |wavey|

Yes sir, Adam you are correct. I wasnt exactly sure what it was, or if I needed to replace it. It is the original, ther serial number plate says original rebuilt for GM 1977, on the box. I checked whatever I have for the car taht came with it to tell me if it was replaced, and I found nothing. So I am assuming that it was rebuilt in the 80's, and its the stock part from 1977. Should I just leave it? Also the heater core is not leaking, shoudl I just replace it anyway? Its a real pain to take that dash apart, but then again once I get those shiny new digital guages then its going to have to be taken apart. But then again if the engine is already int he bay at taht point, hpw would I get the heater core out, there is no room.... !

I would appreciate if anyone could tell me what I should really replace that I am going to have trouble with later on down the road, you guys have had a lot more experiacne with Vettes then I do.

Thanks guys....
