Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
I just put the console back together and noticed a problem, when I turn the left wheel the indicator moves up and down, but it's out of alignment. When I turn it up to the off position, it goes up about another 1/4 inch after the indicator is at the off position. Consequently, it won't go all the way down to the de ice position. What can I do to fix it?
Thanks,
Matt

You probably need to just slide the indicator to the correct position and then lock it in place with a little dab of fingernail polish.

Can you explain a little further? Do I have to take the whole $%&^%&^%*! thing back out again?

Thanks,
Matt

Sorry Matt, I never said it would be a quick easy fix |sad| At least you could probably wait until lay up time this winter to do things like that.
