I am trying to find where outside air is pulled into the A/C duct so I can spray some disinfectant into it , got a musty smell in the cabin. I've looked through the AIM manual and can't seem to find it. Does anyone know where it is on an 80?
Thanks

Look in the cowl area at the edges of the right fender. The blower motor is down in the fender behind the wheel well.
Ken is correct.
I had a similar problem when I got mine, because the AC wasn't working and had not run for at least 8 years before that.
The spray freshen it up.

Correct, passenger side in your wiper well area, you should be able to see your fan motor, behind the screen.
Do you have outside air pulls in your cab. My 79 book states it has them, but I don't see them any where. Should be by lower kick panels inside the cab. I see the doors, but it looks like they are only operated by vacume valves.

I don't recall seeing any pulls in the cab for outside air. I will have to look...as soon as I get my car back from the mechanic. I am having the A/C changed over to 134 and the coil in the compressor replaced.
I did find the outside air intake. Sprayed some disinfectant into it with the fan running. Then went back and sprayed WD40 into it when it started screeching.
Probably screwed up and will have to replace fan later on but for now everything smells good and no noise.

I've been looking at these posts, trying to determine the correct side for the intake. My '82 blows air out the passenger side above the fan, the driver side seems to have some air flowing in when the fan is on. I have a post about this and I'm want to know if I have some obstruction because I only have mediocre inside air volume.
