I have a 69' coupe with the 26", 4-row copper radiator. Since this configuration didn't come with an overflow or recovery tank from the factory, I was hoping that I could use one from a 73 on up model.
I purchased one of these tanks new and found out the hard way that it doesn't appear that it will mount on my fenderwell :-(
Did they change the inner fenderwells on 73-up C3's?
Has anyone else tried this? Any idea if it can be done?
I would like to put something in to catch the coolant when my raditaor 'hic ups' but I don't want to put in some ugly aftermarket/universal fit thingy.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
Thanks!

I have a 68 convertible and you need to use the Harrison aluminum radiator recovery tank. It fits perfectly on the passenger side fender well. Go to Keenparts.com and click on the "view diagrams and it will describe all of the parts needed to make a good install. Also right now there are some good deals on Ebay fot the tank, but they run out soon. When installing, get a friend to help, you need at least 3 hands when putting on the straps. Jim
If you have A/C, You will need to use the rubber bag recovery tank cause the compressor wont let the aluminun have enough clearence

Jim,
I don't have A/C or the aluminum style Harrison radiator.
The aluminum Harrison tanks were designed for the aluminum radiator since they don't have radiator caps on the radiator itself. This tank isn't really a "Recovery" tank but more of a "Reservoir" because it holds coolant under pressure- These tanks will still burp anti freeze if it's too full or the pressure is too high. The "Recovery" tanks are not pressurized and simply allow the radiator to burb coolant and save it without spewing it on the pavement.
I just need something to catch the overflow- Not another pressurized tank.
Thanks!
