Well, I finally got it changed out after 4 hours. What a PITA. Nothng between the old core support and the new one would line back up. Its like the front shifted down about a 1/4". Once it was back in the overall everything fit much better. and No shims were required like what was on the old support.

Just thought I would share this info because its not an easy job by any means. Now to finish it all back up I have to install the AC condensor, Radiator, Fans, Shroud, Fill Radiator, Attach Hoses, and Put the hood back on. Theres at least anther four Hour to 6 hours. And my wife wonders when she will be able to drive it again. |laugh| I told her when they stop making parts for these cars. Then you will have to drive it as is.

You betcha....that has to be the worst part on the car to replace. Mine was completely apart up there at the time I did the replacement, but still I would never do it again. All new parts mean nothing when trying to line this mess back up. The shroud has to be the biggest POs the General ever made. Maybe not, I am thinking about the heater/ac boxes now.

Congrats....I feel your pain once again |thumb| |thumb|

UUUUHHHHGGGG. Life is sucking right now at the shop. I had to pull the support back out. This was a NOS part, but the lower PS rad support was in the wrong spot. How I don't know. The top location does not change people. Lowever was off by 2.5" inches. To make a long story short. Lots of grinding, cutting, welding and repainting to make it all correct. I was a |cussing| off cookie.

Thats just the tip of the iceburg of other issues I have run into this past weekend.

Next week I'm breaking out the |hammer| and I'm going beat everything into submission. No C3 is going to get the best of me.

I know the feeling. Took mine out twice too. All of the bolt holes were messed up, had to re-thread them, some of the holes were not used, some of the holes were missing, this has got to be the biggest POS part to work with. I expected this, so nothing new here. Plus it was a expensive piece. Like I said before, if you can fix the old one.....you are better off.

Just got a bigger |hammer| Then a lot of |headscratch| With some |cussing| I got it back in. |cheers| |saluteflag|
