I plan to revamp my whole cooling system later on this year which will include radiator, all hoses, trans lines, adding a trans cooler, heater hoses, belts, water pump, everything you can possibly imagine. At that time I plan to go to the dual fan unit from flex-a-lite. I know the owners of the company. Its a family run business and everything they make is top notch. I'm not 100% sure, but i think spal makes most of the O.E. Stuff and just decided to make some units for the aftermarket. I've heard all positive things about spal units as well.

Maybe kyster knows for sure about the spal thing. I've never had to replace an O.E. unit so I wouldn't know. All I've ever done is add units to older cars.

I can tell you that we have used the Flex-A-Lite units on all of our cars here at our facility and they are great and we have never had a failure. One thing they started doing that I really like is offering them in basic colors like red, blue, black, white, and yellow. Really adds a lot to an ugly area of an engine compartment.

Either way I don't think you can go wrong. |thumb|

I wish I could help, but I have never used them. They look like a good unit from what I see on the site. Just not sure.

Both are quailty fans, but if I was to buy either one, that I would buy the one that pulled the most CFM, I read in a fan shootout arttacal that spal pulled the most, also it stated that spal took its CFM readings on the engine side of the radiator where the others took the reading on the front side, because our radiators are tilted back which means air flow is not straight through, thus slowing airflow because the fins are slightley pointed down on the engine side, with this info I think that I would have to go with Spal, you would think that the engineers at GM would have designed a radiator with the fins slightley tilted up at the rear of the radiator so when they tilted back the radiator, that air would flow straight through.
