Vette(s): 1980 L-48 still in the middle of a frame-off.
What is the procedure for replacing the a/c evaporator core on my 1980 vette?  It looks like a real booger to do. I like air but can live without  if needed. The tube going into the box is broken and needs replaced. Should I make a sacrifice to the great vette gods and pray for mercy??

Corvettes and women are the same...You want to make love to them but they keep breaking down.

My 74 was a PITA. But one day you'll be sorry if you don't do it.

Changing the A/C evap core IS a PITA, as Cookie said! If you have the time, and patience to do it, I would recommend fixing it. Get a factory service manual, and follow the procedure. You should be able to do it in one day, depending on your skill/tolerence for pain level.
