just want to get some views on this. i am going to install electric
fans for cooling. the sensor is set to come on at 195 and off at 175.
should i change stat as i am running a 195 stat? don't know if i would
want to keep stat basically closed all the time. any thoughts would be
appreciated.

I put Spall fans on my car. I set the high side at 195 degree and the low side at 160 per Spalls recommendations. I also put a fail safe 195 degree thermostat in the event the fans died meaning the thermostat stays open at 195 all the time till it cools off.
good luck gurtz

thanks for the info. i got the dual spal fans from dewitt. the sensor
for it is set at the limits above and are not adjustable. you basically
have and are running what i was wondering about, so i guess there
should be no problem. just got the thermostat housing like yours so i
can now mount the sensor in the manifold now.
