Vette(s): 1982 Bright Blue Corvette Coupe, 5.7L 350 V8 w/ a performance chip & 160-degree fail-safe thermostat, K&N filters, Hedman Headers & a tru-dual exhaust w/ Borla tips. Turbo-700 has a B&M Shift Kit & rear end has 3.73
posi-gears.
I've got a quick question....a friend of mine called & asked if I knew whether his 1982 Corvette had a transmission oil cooler or not. I told him my 1982 did have one, but I didn't know if it was a option, or was standard equipment from the factory. Can someone shed some light on this question?? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Brian

Brian,
In 1982 there was an option" RPO # V08 Heavy duty cooling."
Don't know if the trans cooler was included in this option..

I believe all Corvettes with an automatic transmission came standard with a transmission cooler built into the radiator. The V08 heavy duty cooling option was likely a larger capacity or more efficient radiator. In '82 all Corvettes were automatics, no standard transmissions were offered.
