Not sure if I should try to adjust anything yet, but the shift points of my Turbo350 are off now that I've driven it.

I'm wondering if I should just wait to worry about it until I've cycled some more fluid through the new radiator or what.

Could my shift problems be caused by an air bubble. I forced shifts by dropping it down to 2 and then bringing it back up to 3...

If I need to adjust the shift points, how do I go about it? Where does the TV cable come into play?

 Thoughts?

the tv cable comes into play later on while you are relaxing with a beer in your hand.Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20LaughingRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20LaughingRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing

The cable on a 350 does nothing more than provide a kickdown signal for the tranz, and hold it in a lower gear at full throttle longer. There should be no tension on the cable except at full throttle.
What kind of issues are you having with the shifts? Late? Early? Taking off in the wrong gear?
Any air in the system will dissipate quickly as fluid pushes it out, so that's not what is happening.
More info please!

Oh...and make sure the vacuum line for the modulator on the tranz is connected to full manifold vacuum, and not ported vacuum.

Jim..
what was that vacuum line hanging down .. you said you had a coule of them  and had always been like that.. maybe that is the one to the modulator... also I would make sure the transmission cooler lines didn't "kink ". Remember they did come close to the motor mount when we pulled the old one... they looked OK to me but you never know... It did seem like a modulator as it downshifted fast... of course it was also about midnight and a lot of things were dropping out fast by then  Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing

IF the mod. is totally disconnected, the tranz will shift VERY late("redline"), and hard, but will upshift manually ok.
If it is connected to ported vac., it will also shift later than normal, but not at redline...
