Thanks Ben; the black shift ball with no shift pattern imprint seems to be what I'm now finding to be original on just about all C3s.

You have a great website concerning rebuild of your '69.  Would you mind if I emailed you to discuss front body clip removal?

Thanks,

Doug

Back in 1978 my '70 M20's shift ball was plain black.

"The Toy" had a solid chrome ball.  I have a dealer brochure buried away somewhere that should have an interior shot.   I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks for all the replies; your assistance is much appreciated.  I'll follow-up if I need to get one of these (sounds like the price is right).

Thanks........Doug

My 68 M-20 came with a Chrome ball, I still have my original parts.  I have seen a lot of Black ones at Carlisle but I am pretty sure other 68's I have seen all had regular Chrome.
