You should be able to buy the correct adapter plate for the Hurst shifter from one of the mail order parts places, like Jegs, or Summit....possibly even one of the Corvette parts vendors, such as one of the forum Sponsors here. If not, try Kajun Jon ...he will probably have what you need.

Don't know why there would be a difference in the '80/'81 that would keep you from using the same shifter....
