Hi Frank, you sure had me worried buddy. I bought the Hurst shifter several years back just before my cancer and never got to put it on yet, so after reading your post I dug in to the garage to check the part #. Yep, it's 391-0028 and the install kit is 373-8621 (HUU 373-8621). It's hard to believe that they would discontinue an application without a substitute. I'd sure like to hear how the install goes for ya. I've got a buddy that owned an auto shop that claimed they were a "PITA" but he didn't make clear what he meant. Great lookin' body on that Vette Frank. Keep us posted my friend.

Will I am stuck in a rutt at this time. I have to find out how I can get the adapter plate. The kit 3738621 has that plate. I can not find a plate anywhere. That plate is very important it sets the shifter closet to stock. I I had a template I would make one. I would need pictures thickness of plate and template. everything else you can buy. Oh you have to find the reverse arm

I've been looking for part # 195-0148 which is the mounting plate with about a 1/2" spacer welded on, but the page for replacement parts seems to be down or gone. I'm working on my brakes today but I'll get some pics and scan and copy the parts breakdown and post it today sometime. I've been depending on the Vette to get around so I've got to finalize repairs and get them bled out before changing directions. I'm not that fluent at info or pic transfers but once I get tha car done I'll keep trying 'til I get it.

Frank, I can't think of anything harder that to transfer a document or pic to this site. I've been working on this for hours. I don't even know how I achieved this, but that is what we're looking for. I'll try again tomorrow.

Thank you Joel for for your help with the pic. This is harder than working on the vettes for me. It literally takes me hours to accomplish what would seem to be the simplest things.
Frank, I have to take my daughters wedding dress to her for a fitting today (100 mi. away), but I promise to get right back on it when I return late tonight.
That spacer looks correct even though it's not welded to the mounting plate. The plate looks a little large. I'll take a pic with the measuring tape like the one you posted. I'll take more pics and try again later.
