Vette(s): 1971 Corvette Stingray, 350. Edelbrock everything:)
I'm having the local shop slip out a set of 3.08's in favor of some 3.55's. They quoted $500 for the whole thing; thats gears, labor, calibration, etc. Is that a fair price? Also, what will the new gears feel like, will they meet the wild and crazy expecations i have for em.... |headscratch| |biggrin| !!

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
Not outlandish if it includes the gears. How much will it change? depends on the engine, but you will see a big difference.

Well, the vette is a 71 L48 T-Top with the factory 3spd.
It does however have Dart heads, a Crane cam, headers, custom exhaust, 600 holley, hi-rise intake, and 9.5 to 1 TRW pistons. I think she puts around 375 to 400 at the crank. My big plan is to drop a 700r4 in there though. I just wish i knew i was doing it sooner as opposed to later, and i would get 3.73's:) For now though the 3.55's seem like the logical choice. Cheers
