OK guys I need to know the name of this seal. I have a Borg Warner t-10 and on the driver side of the transmission is a bolt with a linkage and this bolt has a seal that is leaking. Its not the front part with the gear linkage. What is this seal called? It needs to be replace and the guys at napa need a name.

If it is NOT the one of the 3 shift shafts, I don't know what it could be!
On the drivers side, there are three shafts/linkage. One for 3rd-4th gear(front)
One for 1st-2nd gear(middle), and...
one for reverse. This one is actually on the tailhousing of the trans.
If it is leaking out of the rear shaft(reverse), the trans needs to be disassembled to replace the seal. The two front/shaft seals can be replaced without removing the trans.
Other than this, the only other bolts on the side of the unit that can leak are the bolts that hold the side cover on.
Can you post a pic, or even a diagram of the location?
