Good luck with pounding them out! You should be good now for the trip up! Have fun with the drive shaft!

I am taking them to work, got a press there.First I'm going to try the vise if that don't work the press is next.Joel said to watch out so not to bend the haft shaft flanges .I am going to take the car up to the base and put it on a lift for the drive shaft. They also have a press if I need it.I know my back will appecate thatLOL ,but seriously I hope this solves my problem.I only have 19 days till our road trip.

just a tidbit if you have't been there before, but the rear yoke caps on the drive shaft, i've found it much much easier to use a about a 2 foot+ extension on a ratchet to remove the bolts, coming from the transmission side over the crossmember..... otherwise, its 1/4 turn with a boxed end wrench if you take them off at the yoke itself(little clearance between the differential and the mount that runs under it to the crossmember... :)

Got the vette back together today, and took it out for a short drive. No more squeak squeak...I am still going to do the driveshaft u-joints.But because of the schedule that I am working I probably will not be able to get them until next month.I was a nervous nelly expecting something to go wrong.I got a couple of small things I need to do before CFC.It felt great being able to drive Ol Blue want to thank everyone again for the advice.Thumbs Up.
