Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.

Got a question for the C3VR think tank.....I'm installing a set Hooker headers and the instructions recommend the removal of the clutch linkage. Is there a specific sequence you follow in order to make this job easier? I see 2 springs....do both have to be released?  Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!   There, I said it!

Take the springs off(first), and the clip for the pedal linkage, and then take the pedal link. out of the z-bar. With the springs off, and the pedal linkage loose, the lower "pushrod" from the z-bar to the clutch fork will be loose.
On the frame side of the Z-bar linkage, there is a stud that fits into a slotted bracket on the frame. Loosen the nut, and you can slide the linkage up & out of the bracket, and then off of the stud on the engine. Then the whole mess will come out, if needed.

can we say 'Merry Christmas'??

That would make for a perfect opportunity to clean, check the bushing and ball stud for wear before putting it all back.

Good point, Dave! ....Joel, I'm guessing this is the order you'd follow removing items....Thanks a bunch.

Yes!! Those bushing's are cheap plastic so I'm sure you'll need new ones, there are 2. Check your washers too. Good luck to ya and Merry Christmas back at ya!!
