Cruise Control and speedometer problem

The needle of my speedometer move like a wave |sad| , i heard a "tac tac" witch increase with speed |ohwell| and my Cruise Control make a strange job, my vette seem to follow my needle madness !! |eek|

So it come from?
Cruise Control Transducer, speedometer cable, seedometer ?

Your problem likely comes from two sources. First, the speedometer cable likely needs lubricated, plus you also need a new transducer. In my '78, lubricating the cable helped, but still needed the transducer.

The transducer is easy to replace, IF you have small hands. My big mitts came out a bit scarred and cut as the transducer is in a tight area to work in.

Expect to pay about $70-$100 for a rebuilt transducer with trade-in, depending on where you can find it. Most of the Vette catalog suppliers stock them.
