Are your bolts 12 points, or 6? I believe the 12 pointers are 1/4"...

I believe they're twelve-point. They seem to have a weird shape to them though, like a Torx bolt turned inside out

It's strange though, just by me fooling around with the cushion today the clunking really sounds less severe
I guess installing the poly mounts will only make it better!

That's IT!! They ARE inverted torx, 10mm, I think, maybe 8mm. I have the wrench for them, but it is in the storage building, in my tool box. I'll stop by in da morning and find out fer sure what size it is.

E-10 Torx fits my halfshaft joints. I think my driveshaft joiints were 1/4 inch 12 point. Why they are different, I don't know. U joints are the same. Changed the mount bushing last summer on my 82, and I had to take the driveshaft off the diff to get the bolt out. It gets easier the more you do it

I'm going to try again tomorrow with a fresh back and arms. Maybe I can even get a pic of what I'm seeing. I'm pretty sure that they are some sort of special bolt head. They do not appear to be regular Torx screws.

They are either E8 or E10. That's the size of the wrenches I have.

That sure looks like it. I don't think I could get a box end wrench in there though, there wasn't enough room to make a "sweep" so it'd probably have to be a socket. I'll post up when I get this figured out, I'm also having problems with my DD at the moment so this could get put on hold for the time being
