This question is for those that have done the 5-speed conversions on their vettes. Preferably the Keisler one.

What measurement did you end up with for your driveshaft length?

I am doing my conversion now and I am curious as to what you came up with.

Thanks for any help on this.

Alan, when I bought the Keisler kit. The driveshaft was included with it. If you need a measurement I can get , car is in the air. Dick

Dick,

That would definitely help. Not to sound like a PITA,

but could you get the overall measurement from the end of the machined surface of the trans. (where the rear seal sits) to the centerline of the pinion bearing cap (where it bolts to the pinion)?

Nothing needs to be disassembled for this.

Many thanks.

Alan

Dick,

Thank you very much. This helps a lot.
Almost exactly what I came up with.

Eddie,

No, I have a Borg-Warner Super T-10 stock. She's all apart now, and I ordered the Keisler conversion kit, the TKO 600. The driveshaft is no longer included with the kit, and you need to measure. I was just curious to see if my measurement was ballpark.

My kit cost about $3,200 (show special). I don't know what an auto-to manual will cost. Sorry for that.

Alan, How come they don't include the driveshaft on the 6 speed kit? Did they say?

I have all my pieces from Keisler sitting in the living room awaiting some good weather. Once the salt is washed of the roads I can take her down to the shop to do the conversion. I can't wait.

Good luck with the 6 speed conversion!

Hey Sarge,

I called Jeff at Keisler. He's the sales rep I dealt with in the first place.

He stated that the C3 kit was supposed to come with the driveshaft, and other kits need to be measured.

It was just an honest mistake. He apologized for it...no big deal.

The new shaft is on the way.

I can't wait to install this bad boy. I keep looking at it where it sits, and I LIKE IT!!!
