Hey guys,
Back again, I've been meaning to post more. School started again (currently hangin myself). I have not been doing much latley, but that. Anyway, update! Tmorrow my dad and I are workin on the Vette again, cooler weather is here, time for us to play!!!1 I ahve a question though. I was thinking about it, if I wnet to an alumn driveshaft of course it would take weight off from the orig hardened steel drive shaft. But how much better is the performance? Will I still loose the 15%? Or will it be like 10% instead?
On taht note i jsut wnat to say that I found a guy here who is hella awsome. He his gonna take the vette when its ready, and hes gonna install TRUE DUAL EXHASUT!!!1 With flowmaster 40's!!!1 He said that as long as I bring it to him with no CAT, new headers, and no exhaust tubing, he'll hook me up. He mumbled something about paperwork, or something. Hes also doing it at half the price of the dude who wanted to put in a new Y-pipe, witha super CAT. I'm only payin $450-$550, he said he has to look at the car to know for sure. Anyways I gatta go to bed now, I'll see you guys later.

I agree with Joel. Plus you have to be careful of how much horsepower you put in front of those aluminum shafts.
We have a local business nearby that makes LT & HD aluminum halfshafts for vette. LT aluminum shafts are mainly "show" pieces. HD aluminum is for mild street applications. He also makes steel halfshafts (Nitrous Ready) for high HP vettes. Her's a link to view their products http://dennysdriveshaft.com Check it out. There is a lot a good info there.

Building the engine would perhaps mean staying with the steel shaft, depending on the power you create. The Alum is a nice light weight so you save a few pounds. The best of both worlds is an Alum wrapped with carbon fiber. These are awsome drive shafts. Very light and Very strong, also Very expensive. None of them will affect the HP.
You will like the dual exhaust. I have 2 1/2 true dual with Hooker headers and AeroChamber mufflers. Very nice.
Thnx guys,
I was just wonderign if an aluminum would save me the percentage loss of power going from front to rear wheel. Anywhoo, I'm not really willing to shell out like $500+ for an alumnium drive sahft, I'll stay with the steel.
Thanx,
-Lou
