Can I use a heavier wt. oil (80-140) in a Muncie M-21 to slow down or possibly eliminate that steady dripping?
I know what you're saying....put new seals in the darned thing. This is a temporary fix. It doesn't get very cold down here.

Bad idea. Heavier oil will affect the operation of the syncros, and make for slower shift or grinding gears. It can also cause a restriction to flow which can cause oil starvation to some parts of the trans. It just won't flow into the small areas like it should.
