Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.
Can I use a heavier wt. oil (80-140) in a Muncie M-21 to slow down or possibly eliminate that steady dripping?
I know what you're saying....put new seals in the darned thing. This is a temporary fix. It doesn't get very cold down here.

P.S. Sorry 'bout the simple-minded question, but I've learned (usually the hard way) not to take anything for granted.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
Bad idea. Heavier oil will affect the operation of the syncros, and make for slower shift or grinding gears. It can also cause a restriction to flow which can cause oil starvation to some parts of the trans. It just won't flow into the small areas like it should.

Yep, here we go again. Just fix the seals.

Now, why didn't I think of that. Thanks, Boss
That's why you get the big bucks.
