I use Spicer ..............I wouldn't use any U-joints that are tapped for a grease fitting....that weakens them.

Agreed with spicer, if you can press them out... not beat them out. Clean out the clip areas good and sand out or lightly file just to remove any rust burrs where the cup goes in before reinstall. Make sure that you can move the u-joint freely after the u-joint is installed into the shaft.

Thanks for the reply guys, I have not seen or heard about the Spicer Brute force u joints but I have heard of the Neapco Brute force u joints, there USA made from my understanding and my local Advanced Auto carries them for $14 and some change each.
I believe these are the ones I will be purchasing, part # 20053BF made by Neapco. I have also considered buying the greaseable standard units by Neapco part # 2-0053.

I used the spicer ones without the grease fittings as some of the above replies have indicated. I also used the instructions from Corvette Magazine. The item about using a press is really important especially when inserting new ones. I also really cleaned out the clip groves and inserted all clip to ensure excellent fit before I put in the U joints.
Good luck.
