For about a week now I have had a kick-in-the pants every time the trans shifted. Today I put the car up on the lift to check the rear mount to see if it needed replacing. Well, the metal bracket that is welded to the frame is rusted out. Now all I need is to find a little time to pick one up and weld it in place by the weekend.
I have a supplier by the shop that I will check with tomorrow. If he does not have one I know of a place that makes frames so I can get one from them.

Finished the repair last weekend.

Here s what I found after removing the carrier bracket.
I then used a few tools to remove the rusty bracket.
Once removed it looked like this.
Here are the new parts
My brother did the welding. He had to use a mig welder instead of his tig welder so the welds are not the prettiest.
Then it was done.
