C3'ers I need to cry on somebody's shoulder here. Has anybody tried this product to replace a 700R4? man, I sent these guys close to $5grand and then the problems started, wrong shipments, shipments missing parts, zero follow through util I exploded. I'm out 3 and half months since this started and I am still waiting on a crossmember plus I've got $3000 invested in on-the-rack time while th evette just sits there waiting for the mystery crossmember that apparently nededs to be tooled by the nuclear regulatory agence it is taking so long. Sheeesh.

I know many have bought the Keisler 5-speed and have been happy. Generally the print reviews have been very positive, but I would expect that when a car magazine says they want to buy a product for testing and review, that the manufacturer would bend over backwards to make sure the reviewer gets the best in service and product.
I know the Mopar enthusiasts hate Keisler. Many problems with customer service. Read Keisler's website and they have lots of compaints about poor service logged. Most Chevy people seem to be happy with them from what I've seen.
It wouldn't be the first time a good product ws accompanied by poor customer service.

When I ordered my TKO 600 I called Keisler & they said it would be 4-6 months to get the transmission if I paid now. So I then called classicchevy 5 speed & they said they could ship that day. They were cheaper & answered every question I had...I've heard lots of people complain about Keisler. I don't know if classic chevy 5 speed does conversions , but if they do tell keisler you want your money back & call classic..you'll probably have everything is a wk or less & at a better price

Ken, I too have had good luck with Classic Chevy 5 speed, they sent me the wrong drive line with the transmission and quickly replaced it with the correct and paid for the shipping. I will break in the transmission on the way to Pigeon Forge.. Try to get your money back, and move on..

I am in the process of Finishing my TKO 600 in a 1980 myself. I removed a 700R4 as well. I ended up buying a new Trans on e-bay and have been installing it my self. Fabed my own Crossmember and I made it C4 Style with the Exhaust running below and along side the Trans. I will have to say that Keisler did me Good when I told them I bought it from elseware and they were still there to troubleshoot a Speedo Cable problem. They even went as far as Calling Me back with more info 20 mins later! And even new more about the Speedo System than the Guy at Tremec! I'm having a Clutch Problem and Its not releasing so I think its all going to come out tomorrow and see whats going on again. Just to make things more complicated I went with the Hyd. Master Clyinder and I don't recomend this to anyone. If anybody has the 175 MPH or 255 MPH Speedometer Conversions It looks as though it can be Geared without using the In Line Reduction that they come with. Richard...
