OK, so after getting over the initial depression of not going to the C3 event, I took advantage of the warm temps to do some wrenching around. I installed some half shaft caps that replace the original u joint straps and added some cross member supports in the back. Got these products from Dragvette.

Here's a corrected one:
Dragvette Products

Those caps were used on any of the higher hp cars, including the big blocks, and the high horse small blocks. Nice addition to any of them, imho. You can never be too safe.
I'd be a little po'd about whoever welded the pipes up burning the paint on the crossmember...

I just realized after you pointed it out that's what that was from Joel!!
Most of it wiped off with a damp rag - threw some Valspar chassis black over it fer good measure!!l!!
