Hi All,
I was wondering with the M20 Transmissions, once the car is off should the transmission be able to go into reverse?
I can run through the forward gears and sometimes I can get reverse, other times not. Is this because reverse is a sliding gear and when parked if there is tension it and misalignment preventing a slide into reverse?
No real issues when the car is running but just curious.
Thanks,
NJ

Depending on where the gear itself winds up "parking", reverse may slide right in...might not. Letting the car roll just a smidge will always allow rev to engage, tho.

I can't remember for sure but doesn't the steering wheel lock engage when it's in reverse?
