Looking for feedback on anyone that has purchased a kit from Keisler. I need more info for these items/concerns with thier complete Tremec TKO kits for C-3 Corvettes. My questions are:
1) Is the yoke they sell in thier kit a "quick release" yoke?
2) Is it a 330 size slip yoke?
3) Did anyone have trouble with the Keisler yoke hitting the tunnel once it was installed?
4) How do they handle the crossmember issue if my crossmember is welded to my frame? How do I make it work based on what they will send me?
I know they have delivery issues but let me know if you have received one of these kits and what I can expect once I get it regarding the Yoke and Crossmember.

I also contacted Keisler & got a quote ($3305.00) for their kit. They said I'd have to wait a few months. So I was going to go for it this winter. Two weeks ago my clutch went...The jerk that put it in 2 yrs ago screwed me (cheap clutch). So I figured I might as well replace the trans if I have to do the clutch. Classic Chevy 5-Speed (www.ClassicChevy5Speed.com) had a TKO-600 in stock for $2700.00 which included a McCloud Clutch kit.
I had the whole thing in less than a week. I'll try and answer your questions. I have a 68 conv w/BB
The yoke is a quick release 1350 C6.
There is about 1.5 - 2" of clearance in the tunnel.
The parkin break has to be rerouted, I figured out how to do it without going to a longer cable..in it's present location it will hit the yoke.
I cut my crossmember short (between the exhaust holes), then put plates on each side & put a bolt through each side. I put a 28" 1/4" steel plate across the bottom & bolted it to the center section (2 bolts) with 4 2.5" X 5" sections bolted to the cross member on each side on the ends.
I had to cut out part of my console for the shifter to fit.
I have a welded stainless steel 2.5" exhaust which I cut & had 2- 8" 2.5 ID on both sides pieces made & used walked stainless steel clamps to bolt the pipes in place.
The speedomoter cable has to be modified & switched to the drivers side (I have a mechanical one).
You will have to have the drive shaft shortened about 2"
(take your measurement after the trans is in place.)
I'm waiting for the new insulation for the tunnel then I should be able to finish.
I am lucky and have a lift, which made it alot easier as this is a project that takes alittle time, but from what I've read it's worth it.
I'll be happy to send you pictures
Ask for Jeff at 5-speed...He was very helpful & they call you right back.

We are trying to pull together all of the neccessary components to complete a kit for Corvette owners. We are starting with a kit for C3 Corvettes because they are my personal favorite.
We hope to have all the answers and parts together within the next 2 months.
There are challenges with the slip yoke, crossmember, and shifter.
We are diligently working on these 3 items and we are confident that we will have a solution soon. We hope to provide a competitive alternative to the other kit that is out there.
If you would like to get on my email list for Corvette/TKO updates, send your email address to: jeff@classicchevy5speed.com.
I am happy to be on board with this site and I look forward to helping where I can.
