Vette(s): 1973 Stingray Coupe and C5 and C6 Coupes.
Van Steel in Florida is an expert in C3 diffs. Sent my trailing arms and diff and let him rebuild them. He's pretty well known for his work on Vettes. And he definitely gets my vote as well.

For more info they have a web site: http://www.vansteel.com

Sounds a lot like uni joints to me. How much vibration is there? If you have vibration I would be checking the unis first. Check them first anyway before getting into major Diff work. I'd rather replace some unis than having the diff rebuilt for no reason. |hammer| |cheers| |cheers|

Vette(s): "86", "89", and finally an "81" Red/Tan. I call her "Sweet Pea".

After further reflection...do you know where I can get good part numbers for the inner and outer "uni's" both sides?
Thanks

I'm with Ron, do all six at once. It will be cheaper in the long run |wavey| |wavey| |wavey|

I just repaired a friends 8.8 ford diff with the same sound and it was the inside pinion bearing. Couldn't see the bad bearing until we cut it open. Had a bad spot half way around the inner race. |cool|
