Hi friends!
I have plan to change oil at my gerabox and rearaxle, it is a 1971 LT1 and the box is M21.
My qestion is.
Wath kind of oil?
Quantety?
I look forward about others experience.
Here is winter at the westcoat of Norway (last night it was -8,5 dg. C.)

Just use a good 90W gear oil in both & don't forget the posi additive in the rear axle. You can use sys oil , but I wouldn't recommend it as it tends to leak on these older cars. Sounds like you're not puttin that top down very soon.

he's right about the gear oil in both..
but he didnt answer your quantity question..
with the car level.. add as much oil into the fill hole as you can without it spilling out (ie the oil level should be even with the bottom of the filler hole)
you stick your finger in the hole and bend it slightly down and it should touch oil..
I generally keep adding until a little oozes out
