Does anybody know where this kit may be acquired? I looked up it on Jeg's, called their technical service department to verify the linkage part number and he informed me the linkage was discontinued. He gave me Hurst/B&M tech service line and the tech guy said that both the shifter and linkage had been discontinued for the 80/81.
I find it troubling that certain Corvette vendors are selling the kit advertising Hurst name and it is no longer made. I also found it funny that was a 17 day delay on the linkage kit.
If I am going to spend over $500.00 on a shifter set up, I don't want a reproduction or knock off. Call me cheap or crazy, but this does not sound right.
Any idea on who might have any old ones in stock?
thanks for your help

Rick, this would be the linkage kit that mates up to your BW T10.... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=HUU%2D3738616&N=700+400134+4294818554+4294908216+4294856328+115&autoview=sku

Larry, did you possibly install these parts? I appreciate the reply. I went round and round talking with Jeg's and Hurst tech service and both Hurst and Summit said the linkage was not available.
I will call Summit.
Thanks,
Rick
Actually.........I have aTHM400 and I'm putting in a B&M Hammer shifter. It's causing major mods to make it fit inside the console. I want it to look almost factory. Anyhow.....Summit claims to have the shifter and linkage in stock. You really need to talk to them directly. I hope it all works out for you. Keep us posted.

Will do, calling them today. I saw Jeg's part numbers, called tech service, and they said the linkage was not the correct one, but call B&M/Hurst tech service, which I did and he said that Jeg's part numbers would not work and they actually discontinued both products awhile back.
The part number for the linkake looks similar, but I will call and see what they say and get back with you.
thanks,
Rick

I appreciate it, and I did not want to call them out, but the Eckler phone rep I spoke with said it was made by someone else, and I would rather get the real deal - at this point in time used as Hurst no longer makes either the shifter or the linkage.
If anyone has bought this and it works fine, that is another story, but for now, I got burnt on the 80 tranny I bought off ebay and proceeding cautiously now!
