Check for play in the yoke shafts going into the rear diff. IF there is too much play in and out, the wear will create stress in the posi unit and bad noises will ensue. Fluid won't help this one. I have a lot a rear end noise, and so does my car. The yoke shafts are just sitting here waiting on me.
I'll check them too thanks Ken and other guys,I hate too have to jack her back up again I shoulda went deeper into the a$$ end when I had her up in the air doin all the brake work, but I was convinced the noise was from the brakes, see what I get for thinkin Huh?At least when I get this straightened out she should be ready to go,shes all relicensed and New York state inspected
